Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Ntropy ("Service", "Ntropy", "we", "our", or "us"), including any mobile or web versions. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1

Service scope and region

Ntropy is intended for use only in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

The Service may be technically accessible from other regions, but it is not actively offered or targeted outside the DACH region.

2

Acceptance of terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Accepting these Terms is a precondition for using features of the Service that rely on them.

3

Eligibility and accounts

To use Ntropy, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be legally allowed to use the Service in your jurisdiction.
  • Provide accurate account information.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials secure and confidential.

The Service may offer several sign-in options, which can change over time. Where email-based flows are used, we may send short-lived messages to verify ownership of an address or to help you recover access.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless prohibited by applicable law.

4

User conduct and content rules

You agree not to post, share, or promote:

  • Illegal content or unlawful activity.
  • Hate speech, threats, harassment, or targeted abuse.
  • Fraud, phishing, spam, or deceptive content.
  • Malicious or harmful content intended to disrupt users or systems.

You also agree not to:

  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to manipulate content or metrics in the Service.
  • Circumvent security controls, abuse vulnerabilities, or interfere with Service operations.

The Service provides in-product mechanisms to report content you consider inappropriate. We may remove content, limit visibility, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these Terms.

5

User content and license

You retain ownership of content you create in Ntropy.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, display, moderate, and analyze your content solely to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, including to power features offered within the Service.

This license does not extend beyond what is needed to run the Service.

6

Content persistence and deletion effects

Not all actions in the Service are reversible in the same way. Some actions can be undone or withdrawn by you within the Service, subject to limits set by the Service. Others contribute to shared outcomes and cannot be individually revoked after the fact.

If you leave a shared space within the Service, content that contributes to that space's shared outcomes may remain, while your other account-linked entries in that space are removed. If you delete your account, content that contributes to shared outcomes may remain, dissociated from your identity; your other account-linked data is removed. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7

Personalization controls

The Service provides personalization controls that affect only what you see. They do not change content for other users and are not shared with other members.

8

Group ownership and administration

Shared spaces in the Service have an owner. The owner may configure settings of the space, manage access, and remove the space. Removing a shared space removes the content tied to it.

9

Availability, changes, and termination

We may, at any time:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service.
  • Remove content or restrict access to enforce these Terms.
  • Update product features, limits, or technical requirements.

We may terminate or suspend accounts for policy violations, abuse, or security reasons.

10

Third-party services

To operate the Service we rely on established cloud infrastructure and platform providers. We are not responsible for outages or independent actions of those third-party providers.

11

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete error-free operation, or absolute security. AI-assisted outputs offered within the Service are provided for convenience and should not be treated as authoritative advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Where legally permitted, the competent courts in Austria have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If changes are material, we will provide notice in-app or through other appropriate user-facing notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
